Located at Union Hospital in Mayville, N.D., the Eastern North Dakota AHEC will coordinate health career awareness activities with 25 school systems and 15 rural hospitals. Union Hospital provides acute and ambulatory care services. On behalf of rural hospitals in southeastern North Dakota, Union Hospital collaborates with MeritCare Health System’s quality network.

AHEC's Purpose

• To improve the distribution, diversity, supply and quality of health care personnel in the health care services delivery system.

AHEC's Mission

• To help improve the health status of nation’s population by increasing access to health care services in medically underserved areas.
