Brittany Ness has been a practicing registered nurse for more than 10 years, mostly in a rural setting. She has experience in long-term care, Critical Access Hospitals (acute care, emergency room, swing bed), hospice, and most recently local public health. During her time working in rural healthcare, Brittany developed an interest in working toward increasing the quality and accessibility of healthcare services in rural North Dakota. She is excited to work with AHEC to help improve healthcare challenges in rural areas, such as workforce shortages and access issues.

Brittany earned an associate’s degree in nursing in 2007 from Minnesota State Community and Technical College (Detroit Lakes) before going on to graduate from Mayville State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is currently working toward her master’s degree in healthcare administration through Minnesota State University Moorhead.
