ND AHEC Resiliency Training

The North Dakota Area Health Education Center (ND AHEC), in partnership with Dr. Amit Sood (former Professor of Medicine, Mayo Clinic), has provided a training opportunity for interested individuals to become a Certified Resiliency Trainer.

What is the Certified Resilience Trainer Program?
Certified Resilience Trainer (CeRT) Program trains professionals to become instructors of the Stress Management and Resiliency Training (SMART) model that has been implemented by several major health systems. The program has three main goals:

  1. Acquire necessary knowledge and skills of the science and art of stress resilience

  2. Develop a personal resilience practice

  3. Learn and refine resilience teaching skills to get certified in presenting the SMART program.

The aim is to have trainers located in communities in such a manner that they can provide training across all regions of the state, hopefully as early as late Spring 2022.
